Amendment 10: The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.
Any of you that are not adhering to this Amendment are betraying their state, their county, their precinct, their town, all the families in that town, and every individual in all those families. Ultimately, you are betraying your country, by the very fact that you do NOTHING to stop power from becoming ever more centralized in the Federal Government.
It is first and foremost the job of the State Government Official to see to it that whenever and wherever the Federal Government oversteps the bounds of the authority enumerated for it in the U.S. Constitution, THE STATE GOVERNMENT IS TO CONFRONT SUCH INFRINGEMENTS. Not my job, not grandma’s job, not my 8-year-old son’s job. Whenever and wherever the Federal Government oversteps (which is EVERYWHERE), it is infringing upon the rights and authority "reserved to the states respectively, or to the people."
I’ve enclosed an article I recently wrote , and a copy of Texas State Rep. Creighton’s HCR 50, which Gov. Perry recently came out in support of. I've also enclosed “Model Tenth Amendment Resolution for State Legislatures.” You really should consider all carefully, for when the Federal centralization of power is complete, you will be nothing more than the Federal master’s puppets (if you are much more than that now). More importantly, when state authority is gone, and the people of the state you’ve betrayed are left destitute, where do you think they will go with pitchfork in hand…Washington or Augusta?
